A series of photographs documenting the making of a new training space at Yojoen, a holistic retreat centre in Hotaka, Nagano. The walls were constructed using tsuchi kabe (土壁), a traditional Japanese earthen-wall technique using natural earth and materials. The photographs capture the process from the raw materials and hands-on construction through to the finished space, highlighting the people, craft and natural materials behind the building.
